RENOWNED author J.K. Rowling has confirmed Harry Potter's story will not continue, with the two-part play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" marking the end of the road for the character.
The play, which opened to rave reviews over the weekend, is set 19 years after the franchise's final novel, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," and sees Harry, Ron, and Hermione return to the spotlight, along with Harry's son, Albus.
Speaking Saturday night at the London premiere of the "Cursed Child" stage production, Rowling told press that Harry "goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we're done" (via EW).
Parts I and II of the "Cursed Child" printed script shattered preorder records when they went on sale Sunday at midnight, with the play -- now showing at London's Palace Theatre -- currently sold out, though 250,000 seats will be available for purchase from August 4.
