Michael Keaton will star in Irritu's next movie
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Michael Keaton, who played Batman for Tim Burton, will star in "Birdman," a new project by Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu ("Amores Perros," "Babel"). This time, the Mexican director who usually tackles drama is going to direct a black comedy about a former Hollywood who used to play superheroes as he tries to revive his career on Broadway by putting on a play by Raymond Carver. Filming will start in March. Michael Keaton, who starred in "Batman" (1989) and "The Dark Knight Returns" (1992), will play the lead role. He will be joined by Emma Stone, who will play his daughter and assistant, and Zach Galifianakis as the producer of the show.
