Miss Indonesia, Elvira Devinamira won the Best National Costume category at the 63rd Annual Miss Universe pageant which took place in Miami on Sunday.

As reported in The Jakarta Globe, Elvira's costume had been posted on the organizers Facebook page since last Wednesday, alongside four other finalists from Argentina, Canada, Germany and India.

Elvira's costume titled 'The Chronicles of Borobudur' emerged the favourite among the other four finalists as fans voted for their favourite via Twitter using the contestants hashtag and #MissUniverse.

The costume created by seven Indonesian designers was inspired by Central Java’s Borobudur Temple, a ninth-century Buddhist monument and UNESCO heritage site and reported to be weighed around 20 kilograms.

Elvira also made it to the Top 15 during the finals of the Miss Universe.
