'My stepmom lied to the media' - Awie's daughter

Awie’s eldest child, Puteri Aleeya Antasha alleged that her step-mother, Rozana Misbun, had made a false statement to the media.

In her Facebook posting, the 15-year-old expressed her regret towards the apparent lies made by Rozana.

The teenager also shared her Facebook status on her Instagram account and received mixed reactions from her followers.

According to Aleeya, as she is fondly known, Rozana’s statement (as reported by an entertainment portal), was ‘utterly rubbish’ as ‘they were untrue’.

Among her claims, Aleeya alleged that all this while it was her father and aunt who always made sure that she and her siblings slept on time, and that they had all the items they needed for school.

Aleeya said, she would testify in court if need be, as her father was nowhere guilty as how Rozana had painted him out to be.

Aleeya is the eldest of two children Awie had with his first wife Arni Nazira, a singer and actress who left the world of entertainment after having her children.

The other child is Puteri Aleefa Antasha, 13.

Awie, whose real name is Ahmad Azhar Othman, and Rozana had married in Thailand nine years ago. Together, they have three children – Putra Ahmad Merrah, eight, Putra Ahmad Rezzki, seven and Puteri Qasseh Antasha, five.

Awie and Rozana have been embroiled in a messy court battle, fighting over custody of their children.

In the latest development, the 47-year-old Wings frontman lost the custody of the couple’s three children on Jan 27 when the Syariah High Court here granted temporary custody to Rozana.
