Prince 'Purple Rain' memorabilia goes to auction

Prince's ‘Purple Rain' motorbike jacket and shirt are set to go under the hammer this weekend.

The garments, worn by the late superstar in the 1985 movie, are part of an eBay Hollywood auction happening this weekend.

The black-grey ‘The Kid' jacket, worn in the scenes that saw Prince shopping for a guitar at night and riding his motorcycle the following day with Apollonia, has a starting price of $6,000 - $8,000. The New Romantic-style long sleeve ivory silk shirt starts at $3,000 - $5,000.
