Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith are teaming up to star in a film with Regina Hall about a band of friends who take a holiday to New Orleans.
Called "Girl Trip", the project marks the first on-screen reunion for the Latifah and Smith since their 1996 film "Set It Off."
According to Deadline, the film focuses on four friends who travel to Nola for the annual Essence Festival, "where sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered." Throw in a bit of drinking, romance and brawls and a feel-good flick for girlfriends is made.
"Girl Trip" is directed by Malcolm Lee and is set for a July 21, 2017 release.
