Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' trailer release generates buzz among netizens

The much-anticipated Kabali film trailer starring Tamil film legend Rajinikanth generated much buzz on social media today.

The 66-second trailer which was posted on YouTube managed to garner 1.6 million views as of press time.

Kabali, directed by Indian director Pa. Ranjith sees Rajinikanth taking the role of an academician, based on a real-life figure.

Apart from filming in India, Thailand and Hong Kong, the film was also shot in Malaysia and featured local actors Datuk Rosyam Nor and Norman Hakim.


Following the release of the trailer, two hashtags #Kabaliteaser and #KabaliTeaserCelebrationBegins became trending on Twitter.

Kabali is Rajinikanth’s 159th film and is scheduled to hit cinemas end of May.
