The British actor known for playing Ron Weasley in the "Harry Potter" films is embarking on his first TV adventure. Rupert Grint will star in "Super Clyde," a series CBS is working on for fall 2013.

Grint will play Clyde, a neurotic and awkward fast-food employee who escapes his boring life by reading comic books. When he receives an inheritance from his eccentric uncle, Clyde decides to make his dream come true: he will become a superhero and help those around him.

The comedy is from Greg Garcia, who created the series "Earl" and "Raising Hope," currently being shown on Fox. If it is successful, "Super Clyde" will be part of CBS' new shows in the fall.

This in no way means that the British actor is giving up cinema. After playing young wizard Ron Weasley in the eight "Harry Potter" films, he will feature in "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman," a police drama starring Shia LaBeouf that was selected for the 2013 Berlinale.
