Saloma: A new rhythm for an old tune

Astro will soon launch a new album as a special tribute to National Songstress Puan Sri Saloma. Astro has previously launched special albums for the legendary Tan Sri P. Ramlee and the late Sudirman Arshad before this. The songs from the album "A Tribute to Saloma" began circulating in cyberspace via Astro Gempak’s Soundcloud account. All the songs have been rearranged by Azlan & The Typewriter, which began recording in June. The five songs are ‘Air Mata Di Kuala Lumpur’ ‘sung by Hazama, Aku Dia & Lagu (Aweera), Bila Luka (Akim), Malam Terakhir (Azlan & The Typewriter) and Bila Larut Malam (The Lomas gabungan Aishah, Indah, Nabila, Amira). The recording company Sony Music has also partnered with Astro to release this special album containing 10 songs. The album will be launched in August 19, while the telemovie " Saloma " will hit the big screen on 28 August. Listen to songs from the album "A Tribute to Sugarland" here.
