'Star Wars VII': open casting call leaked on the web
Rumors continue to abound around the most-hyped project in Hollywood these days after a casting call sent to the biggest talent agencies popped up on the Internet.
Certified genuine by Lucasfilm on the fansite TheForce.net, the open casting call lists seven profiles sought by Disney for the seventh installment of its "Star Wars" series.
The descriptions turn out to be rather vague, though with a slight penchant for young actresses: the producers are looking for a "late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit" and a "second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit," for starters.
The male characters range from a "late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident" to a "forty something male, fit, military type" and a "seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour."
Early 2014 shoot
The casting for "Star Wars: Episode VII" has just begun in the UK. Director J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek Into Darkness") will be moving there at the end of the year to prepare the shoot in Britain for early 2014.
The first of a new trilogy, situated chronologically between the various events of "The Return of the Jedi" (1983), this sci-fi blockbuster will be hitting commercial theaters in 2015. Some of the stars of the initial episodes, including Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, are likely to put in an appearance.
