Vanessa Hudgens could star in fantasy film with zombies, vampires and aliens

Last seen in "Spring Breakers," the actress may soon star in another film focusing on a band of teenagers, only this time with a fantasy thriller element. According to Thewrap.com, Sony Pictures is hoping the actress will join the cast of "The Kitchen Sink." The film's screenplay focuses on the explosive combination of zombies, vampires, and a group of young friends. Their mission: to ward off an alien invasion. While Vanessa Hudgens's participation in the project has not been officially confirmed, the rest of the cast has already taken shape and includes David Leary ("The Amazing Spider-Man"), Mackenzie Davis ("Breathe In"), Josh Fadem ("The Master") and Nicholas Braun ("The Perks of Being a Wallflower"). Indie filmmaker Robbie Pickering ("Natural Selection") will direct the film.
