Warner Bros. sets release dates for 'Lego' sequel and spin-offs

Everything really is awesome now that Warner Bros. has set the release dates for the next three ‘Lego' films through 2018.

The first, an untitled Batman Lego movie will hit theaters in North America on February 10, 2017.

Lego spin-off "Ninjago" will follow on September 22, 2017, and direct sequel for the film based on the famous plastic characters will come out on May 18, 2018.

Lego films, along with three ‘Harry Potter' spin-offs have emerged as a key part of the studio's model for the next five years.

Last year's "The Lego Movie" was a surprise commercial hit, bringing in $468 million worldwide.
