Burger Factory chronicle

Though quite contrary in its plot, the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the story of Calvin and his Burger Factory is indeed a family affair.

Calvin who has been in the Food & Beverage (F&B) line together with his wife for the past three years and so was inspired to set up an outlet that specializes mainly on burgers when he was on a holiday with his family abroad.

His daughter sparked the idea to set up a burger joint back at Malaysia as it was all the hype at that time and so he decided to jump on the bandwagon by setting up Burger Factory.

His decision has been proved to be a shot of a worthy pursuit as he who initially started with the Kota Kemuning outlet has admirably opened two other branches at SS15 Subang and Oasis Damansara respectively.

The transition to a more family and youth oriented realm was an entirely different ball game for Calvin who has been involved mostly in bistro and pub based businesses.

He said, “There have been a lot of differences and changes that have to be done to ensure it is well accepted by families and teenagers,”

Burger Factory which can distinguish itself by the table services that it provides as compared to other burger outlets can accommodate families, friends and groups of people for gatherings and special celebrations.

Their stunning Oasis Square Ara Damansara outlet has been frequently approached for television shows and productions as well.

Fun fact

A case of mistaken identity was evident in the form of a case of mistaken factory here at Burger Factory.
When Burger Factory was opened in the beginning, there were some road side burger stall operators who contacted Calvin not to take gastronomic pleasures in the burgers but to place orders for burger patties and buns.

Calvin had to tell them that they are a restaurant serving burgers and they neither supply nor sell raw materials.

What to look for?

Those with humongous appetite should definitely take up the challenge to gobble down their biggest seller and their biggest burger, the Boss. Also, be on the lookout for their one of a kind, soft-shell crab burger, Ninja. Being the first one to come up with such menu, Burger Factory suggests food scavengers to look out for it when crabs are readily available when they are in season.
