The Kelantan Post-Flood Joint Committee said first phase distribution of RM500 aid to flood victims involves those evacuated to gazetted relief centres.
The second phase involves the victims who moved in with relatives or relief centres that were not gazetted while the phase third involves those who were trapped by floods, it said in a statement today.
The names of victims finalised by the federal government and the state government will be submitted to the National Security Council (MKN) by Jan 16 and will be exhibited in the Land and District Office or the Social Welfare Department (JKM).
The statement said the flood victims who were not on the list may submit an appeal for consideration to receive the compassionate aid.
The meeting yesterday was jointly chaired by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob and Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
It also decided that the list of houses destroyed by the floods be prepared based on discussion between the federal government and the state government.
Three types of housing will be build, namely immediate housing by the MKN and temporary housing by the federal government, state government, Kelantan Islamic and Malay Customs Council or non-governmental organisations (NGO).
A total of 2,677 houses were destroyed by the floods which ravaged Kelantan starting Dec 25, 2014.
