Drop in number of flood evacuees in Kelantan, Pahang and Perak

The flood situation in Kelantan, Pahang and Perak continues to improve.
The flood situation in Kelantan, Pahang and Perak continues to improve with the number of evacuees at the relief centres dropping up to Friday night.
However, the numbers in Johor and Terengganu have not changed much since Friday evening, while that in Sabah has slightly increased.
In PAHANG, the number of flood evacuees decreased slightly to 43,624 from 43,840 Friday evening, housed at 193 relief centres in eight affected districts.
A spokesman from the state contingent police headquarters' flood operations room said Temerloh district still had the highest number of flood evacuees at 20,962 in 69 relief centres, followed by Pekan (10,885/36 relief centres), Jerantut (4,024/34), Bera (3,521/18), Maran (2,438/21), Kuantan (1,074/four), Lipis (671/10) and Rompin (49/one).
In PERAK, the number of flood evacuees has dropped to 7,158 (from 1,945 families) from 7,346 (2,013 families) at 48 relief centres in five districts.
A Perak National Security Council (MKN) spokesman said the number of flood evacuees in Central Perak dropped to 5,159 from 1,417 families.
In Kuala Kangsar, there are 853 flood evacuees left, Hulu Perak (739), Manjung (131) and Hilir Perak (276).
In KELANTAN, the number of evacuees dropped slightly to 26,029 Friday night from 26,149 Friday evening.
According to the Kelantan MKN, the victims from 6,418 families were housed at 139 relief centres in six districts.
Tanah Merah district still has 14,184 flood evacuees, Tumpat (124), Kuala Krai (5,645), Kota Baharu (515), Machang (2,555) and Gua Musang (3,006).
In JOHOR, the number has not changed since evening with 116 evacuees from 24 families as at 8pm.
According to the State Disaster Operations Control Centre, there were still six relief centres operating - one in Batu Pahat and five in Segamat.
In TERENGGANU, there are still 143 flood evacuees at the relief centre in Sekolah Menengah Durian Mentangau in Dungun at night, according to the Terengganu MKN portal.
As at 9pm in SABAH, 615 flood victims from 194 families were at the relief centre in Kota Belud compared to 406 from 130 families Friday evening.
