The situation at evacuation centres in Sarawak last night remained the same as in the evening with 196 evacuees still at the centre.
A spokesman for the Sarawak National Security Council (NSC) said although the rain was abating in Lundu, but as it was getting dark, 45 evacuees at Balai Raya Kampung Poan in Lundu will remain in the evacuation centre until Friday.
He said in Betong about 151 victims who are occupants of the longhouse Rh Ali Krangan in Saratok and Rh Mupoh Baruh in Betong, still have not got anywhere to go to as their longhouse is badly damaged by the recent floods and landslides.
According to officials at the concerned resident office who held a meeting on Thursday, they still have not decided on the temporary placement for the victims.
