Sarawak flood victims to receive monetary aid

Sarawak will distribute financial aid to the flood victims in the state who suffered property loss, said Assistant Minister for Public Health, Dr Jerip Susil Saturday.
He said flood victims who lost their homes or their transportation and crops were damaged in recent floods should immediately register with their local community leaders.
Dr Jerip was approached by reporters during the handing over of food aid to 94 families from Siniawan who were affected by the floods, here.
He also announced a RM5,000 allocation to repair a surau in Kampung Melayu Siniawan, which was damaged by the floods earlier.
