Sarawak floods improving, same number of victims in Sabah, Kelantan

The flood situation in Sarawak on Sunday night is improving with 36 less victims at the evacuation centres presently sheltering 1,063 people.
In Sabah and Kelantan, the number of victims remained at 614 and 255 respectively, as reported Sunday afternoon.
In Sarawak, a spokesman from the state National Security Council said eight evacuation centres were still in operation.
The Samarahan Division still accounted for the highest number of evacuees at 490 from 155 families, Limbang (424 evacuees, 135 families), Miri (83 evacuees, 24 families), and Mukah (66 evacuees, 18 families).
In Sabah, the 614 victims from 179 families are staying at three evacuation centres.
According to a spokesman at the Beaufort flood operations room, 603 victims were being sheltered at two relief centres in Membakut and 11 victims, at a relief centre in Beaufort.
In Kelantan, the number of victims also remained at 255, from 62 families.
A Kelantan national security council spokesman said the victims were being sheltered at eight evacuation centres in Kuala Krai.
