Two schools remain closed in Kelantan following floods

Two schools remain closed in Kelantan following the devastating floods which hit the state last month, said Kelantan Education Director, Hussain Awang.
Hussain said the two schools involved, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tohoi, and SK Bihai in Gua Musang, were inaccessible as the road to the schools collapsed during the floods.
He told reporters when met after the launch of the Persatuan Orang Kota Baharu (POKB) Adopted School Kasih project at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Temangan, here today.
Secretary-general of the Ministry of Education Tan Sri Dr Madinah Mohamad officiated the event. Also present were Datuk Sheikh Ahmad Dusuki Sheikh Mohamad and Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd Managing Director, Datuk Dr Ameer Ali Mydin.
At the ceremony, a total of 567 students from around Temangan and Kota Baharu each received two pairs of school uniforms, a school bag and other schooling aid worth RM150.
