BEIJING: China's commerce ministry said on Thursday it would track Mexico's newly approved tariff regime on imports from countries without free-trade pacts, including China, and weigh its impact.
Once adopted, the measures will "substantially undermine" the interests of trade, the ministry said in a statement.
"China has always opposed all forms of unilateral tariff increases and hopes Mexico will correct such unilateralist and protectionist practices as soon as possible," it added.
