Condolence book for Lee Kuan Yew to remain open until Sunday
Kuan Yew, 91, well known as the founding father of modern Singapore, died at 3.18 am last Monday at the Singapore General Hospital where he was admitted on Feb 5 for severe pneumonia.
The Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur and its Consulate-General in Johor Baharu are extending the opening time and day for the signing of the condolence book dedicated for the late Lee Kuan Yew, the city-state's first prime minister.
The High Commission in a statement here today, stated that the opening time for the signing of the condolence book on Saturday would be extended to 6 pm from 1 pm previously, and would also extend the signing until Sunday.
Previously, the last day of the signing of the condolence book was set on Saturday at 1 pm.

A State Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday at the University Cultural Centre, National University of Singapore, followed by a private cremation at Mandai Crematorium.
On Thursday, the Singapore Parliament will convene a special sitting at 4 pm as a tribute to Kuan Yew, and admission is for invited guests only.
