COVID-19: 48 new cases in Singapore; none in community

Singapore has preliminarily confirmed 48 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the past 24 hours, with no cases in the community.
In its brief data released here today, the republic's Ministry of Health (MOH) said there were five imported cases who had all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
Data on the remaining cases were not immediately available.
The new cases bring the total infection tally for the republic to 57,454.
In the full data released late Sunday, the ministry classified 991 of the reported cases as imported, 2,238 as community cases and 54,177 involving dorm residents.
The MOH said a total of 56,764 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
As at noon Sunday, 60 confirmed cases are still in hospital but none in the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, 555 patients who have mild symptoms or clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19 have been isolated and are being cared for at community facilities.
To date, 27 people have died from complications due to COVID-19 in the republic.
No new cluster was identified yesterday.
