JAKARTA:Indonesia recorded 4,432 new COVID-19 infections in 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the republic to 377,541.
However, 301,006 patients are said to have recovered from the infection.
Based on data posted on the official twitter page of Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency @BNPB_Indonesia today, another 164,346 patients are still being monitored for the virus.
From 12 noon yesterday to noon today, 102 more deaths occurred bringing the death toll to 12,959 people.
Jakarta province still recorded the highest overall positive cases in the republic, namely 98,206 cases, with an additional 989 new cases.
East Java Province recorded the highest number of COVOD-19 deaths at 3,619, followed by Jakarta (2,105), Central Java (1,630) and the rest in the other provinces of Indonesia.
