COVID-19: Indonesia's death toll surpasses 10,000, records 4,634 new cases

Indonesia has recorded 4,634 new COVID-19 positive cases in 24 hours, the highest number since the first case was reported on March 2, 2020.
Based on the data posted on the official twitter page of the Indonesian National Disaster Management Authority(BNPB), @BNPB_Indonesia today, the cumulative total number of positive cases now stands at 262,022 while 110,910 people are still being monitored for the disease.
From 12 noon yesterday to 12 noon today, 128 fatalities were reported raising the death toll to 10,105.
Jakarta province which has again come under Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) for two weeks starting Sept 14, is still recording the highest number of positive cases in the republic with 66,731 cases, an increase of 1,044 cases.
The province of East Java recorded the highest death toll at 3,062, followed by Jakarta (1,648), Central Java (1,359) and the rest in other provinces.
