COVID-19: Malaysia records 3,337 new cases, 15 deaths
Malaysia recorded the highest daily case with 3,337 cases on Thursday, with 3,330 being local cases while the rest were import cases. - Astro AWANI
KUALA LUMPUR:Malaysia recorded the highest daily case with 3,337 cases on Thursday, with 3,330 being local cases while the rest were import cases.
That number brings the total number of cases to 147,855, including 32,377 active cases.
According to the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Selangor recorded the highest number of cases with 1,036, followed by Johor (460), Sabah (389), and Kuala Lumpur (257).
Meanwhile, Penang recorded 234 cases, Sarawak 180, Negeri Sembilan 169, Pahang 113 and other states recorded under 100 cases.
In addition, the MOH also recorded a total of 15 new deaths, bringing the cumulative number of deaths to 578.
A total of 195 patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 86 cases requiring respiratory assistance.
The number of recovery cases recorded today was 1,710 cases, with a total of 113,288 cases or 76.6 per cent.
