A Dutch national posted a video online containing angst and frustration over the tragedy that befell the Malaysia Airlines flight MH71 which was shot down by Pro-Russian rebels killing 298 people on July 17.
In the video uploaded on Youtube two days ago, Guilly Koster said he was angered and saddened by the attack that has taken the life of his friend, who was among the 298 crew and passengers.
“I am angry my friend, Tim died. I am also angry for the other 297 people who did not know and lost their lives in a cause they didn’t even know about.”
“I am intensely angry because on this plane, there were doctors who were working on a cure for AIDS, a lot of knowledge has been lost,” he said, referring to International Aids Society former president Joep Lange who was among five other experts who were on the Amsterdam - Kuala Lumpur-bound plane, headed for the 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, Australia.
“I’m angry because there were children on the plane, who did nothing – and didn’t even know there’s a conflict going on,” he added.
The three infants were among those on board the MAS’ Boeing 777, believed shot down by the pro-Russian separatists.
“I’m also mad because of the army, the so-called freedom fighters who are a bunch of cowards, using rockets, weapons and shooting people they don’t even know on long distance.
“I’m intensely angry because of the wars happening all over the world - in Asia, in the Middle East, in Africa as well as in Europe - for what? Fighting for some crazy leaders, promising what?
Understandably, intensifying shock and grief turned to rage for the Dutch following reports of looting at the crash site -- where valuable personal effects belonging to the victims were reportedly ‘stolen’.
Anger over reports of mishandling of the passengers' remains is too overwhelming for this Dutch man. Rebels in the area had obstructed recovery operations carried out by medics and international investigators.
