Emirates Airbus EK201 reroutes to UK as plane declares emergency

Emirates aircraft EK201 from Dubai to New York had reportedly diverted its path to United Kingdom after it made an emergency call, rt.com reported.

The aircraft was diverted after it experienced medical situation in-flight.

The aircraft had reportedly landed safely in Manchester, United Kingdom at approximately 2.29pm (UK time).

AirLive.net reported that the flight was headed towards Manchester and had just landed. Passengers had to wait for the ill passenger to disembark before EK201 was issued the green light to resume its journey to New York.

Airbus380 is a double deck flight and regarded the world’s biggest aircraft. It sits 525 passengers in three configurations including three economy sections or 853 passengers in all its classes.
