Facebook, Instagram 'crash' for thousands of internet users

Some Facebook and Instagram users have complained of having difficulties in posting and loading those two sites after it appeared to crash, The Standard UK reported today.

According to reports, thousands were experiencing problems logging onto Facebook's website or app, loading posts or sending messages, and many others reported problems loading Instagram.

Others problems including trouble logging in or loading pictures, while some were unable to use the Facebook Messenger app.

Some users received a message which read: "Facebook will be back soon. Facebook is down for maintenance right now, but you should be able to get on within a few hours."
