The Malaysian student from Padjadjaran University in Bandung believed to have been gang raped is expected to return home with her family today.
Indonesian newsportal detik.com said that the girl, who was allegedly abducted and raped by three men last Saturday, will receive further treatment in Malaysia.
The police reportedly said that her family had arrived in Indonesia as soon as they were informed of the incident and will be return to Malaysia on Tuesday morning.
"She (victim) will return to Malaysia today," Cimahi police chief Erwin Kurniawan told detik.com on Tuesday.
The same portal had earlier reported that the girl was left by the suspects in an unconscious state at a car park some 40 kilometres from where she was abducted.
The portal had confirmed the identity of the student with Padjadjaran University, which had reportedly informed the matter to authorities here in Malaysia.
The police had earlier said that the girl had reported the matter stating that the three men had raped her.
"They took turns. The only one who did not do it was the driver," Erwin Kurniawan told detik.com.
The report also stated that the student was still in trauma and was treated at the Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung.
According to police, initial investigations found that the student was said to have gone out to withdraw money from an ATM machine not far from her rented house in the Jatinangor campus.
The student was reportedly called upon by an unknown male, who covered her mouth and pulled her into a car.
The police are now awaiting the medical report by the doctors in Hasan Sadikin Hospital.
