Identity papers belonging to a 31-year-old French-Tunisian were found inside the truck which barrelled through a crowd of Bastille Day revellers in Nice, killing 77, a police source said Friday.

"The identification of the truck driver is still underway," said the source as quoted by AFP. The identity papers indicate the man is a resident of Nice.

Meanwhile, France President Francois Hollande said among those dead in the attack included several children.
