Indonesia's COVID-19 cases rise to 83,130, death toll at 3,957

The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Indonesia has risen to 83,130 cases, with another 1,462 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
Indonesian government spokesman for COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, said that between noon yesterday and noon today, 84 more fatalities were reported, bringing the death toll to 3,957.
"Meanwhile, 46,493 patients are still being monitored," he said in his daily press conference aired over the official YouTube channel of Indonesia's National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB).
The province of East Java recorded the highest overall death toll of 1,338, followed by Jakarta (719 deaths), Central Java (285), South Sulawesi (236) and the rest in the other provinces of the republic.
