Japan PM Suga declares state of COVID-19 emergency in Tokyo

TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga formally declared on Thursday a state of emergency in Tokyo, putting restrictions aimed at curbing coronavirus infections in place through August 22.
