MOSCOW: Russia remains committed to resolving the ongoing Ukraine crisis through political and diplomatic efforts, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
"We continue efforts for peace. Our position is well known and consistent. Now everything depends on the actions of Kiev," Peskov said, adding that Russia's special military operation will continue until its goals are achieved.

Peskov also noted that the operation has effectively turned into a broader confrontation between Russia and Western countries following "the direct involvement by Western European states and the United States."
Also on Tuesday, Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said that 433 Russian civilians were killed and 2,958 were injured in 2025 in drone attacks launched by Ukraine.
Miroshnik said 8,000 Russian civilians had been killed and at least 27,000 injured in attacks by Ukrainian forces over the past four years.
