Malaysia detects 3,902 new COVID cases, 8 deaths
Based on the data from the COVIDNOW portal, there were 3,898 local transmissions, with four new imported cases. - Astro AWANI
KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Health (MOH) recorded a total of 3,902 new COVID-19 cases as of midnight Tuesday (July 19), taking the overall total to 4,629,963,.
Based on the data from the COVIDNOW portal, there were 3,898 local transmissions, with four new imported cases.
MOH also registered 2,935 new recoveries, which brings the cumulative total number of those recovered and discharged to 4,550,949.
Meanwhile, there were 43,144 active cases, with 55 being held under intensive care throughout Malaysia, while 39 of them in need of ventilator support.
Eight new deaths have been reported including one confirmed as brought-in-dead, pushing the death toll to 35,870 since the pandemic began.
