Malaysian businessman gunned down in Hatyai
Lee was struck by more than 10 shots in the head and body and the car was riddled with bullet holes, he said.
A Malaysian businessman was shot dead by an unidentified gunman at noon today while he was on his way from Sadao to the Hatyai International Airport in Songkla.
The victim, identified as Lee Ah Wan, 54, from Kedah, was residing at No.39 ,Sanakam , Sadao District, Songkhla.
Thunglung police chief, Police Colonel Wichapan Chantaraporn said Lee was shot while in a Mercedes Benz S300 with a friend who was also injured in the incident.
He said the gunman who was in a car, used an M16 rifle to fire dozens of shots at the victim's car in Kanchanavanich Road, Kg Klongplom, Thunglung, Hatyai District, Songkla.
Lee was struck by more than 10 shots in the head and body and the car was riddled with bullet holes, he said.
Police were still investigating the motive of the murder and did not rule out business rivalry.
