The video of a bloodied Aleppo boy Omran Daqneesh won the hearts of the world.
Now, international media have identified the identity of the man who helped rescue the 5-year old boy.
He is Ammar Tabyeh, a paramedic from The White Helmets, a part of the Syria Civil Defense.
According to its website, The White Helmets is a group of 3,000 volunteers whose job is to save lives and strengthen the communities in Syria.

“We rush to the scene of attacks to save the greatest number of lives in the shortest possible time,” said the group on its website.
Meanwhle, Ammar shared his experience in rescuing the little boy.
“I pulled him out, he was completely shocked. I’m grateful that I managed to pull him out.
“But I’m upset that this is a child. What did he do to deserve this,” he said, as quoted by a video produced by AJ+.

Omran has since been reunited with his parents on Friday.
On Thursday, a video showing Omran being pulled from rubble in Aleppo, a city that has been devastated by constant bombardment went viral.
According to The Washington Post, the rescuer placed the child in an orange chair. The boy brushes his eye and face after the man walks away. He wipes the blood and debris on the chair.
