Moderate earthquake hits New Britain Region of Papua New Guinea
The epicentre of the quake was 183km southwest of Kimbe, Papua New Guinea, and 3,536km southeast of Semporna, Sabah.
A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, occurred near the New Britain Region of Papua New Guinea at 12.16pm today, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
It said in a statement that the epicentre of the quake was 183km southwest of Kimbe, Papua New Guinea, and 3,536km southeast of Semporna, Sabah.
