Mysterious rock lands in Bosnia
A mysterious rock which was believed to be a meteorite was found in a quarry in Bosnia.
The seven tonne rock grabbed people’s attention when it was said to have fallen during the same time when the meteorite explosion occured in Russia.
The area was swarmed with people especially scientists and students.
Quarry owner Dimitrije Tatic said people believe the stories of rocks falling from the sky as it had been passed through generations.
“According to tales, there was a giant rock that had fallen from the sky 200 years ago. They believe that it fell from the moon. It was so hot that it was impossible to even go near it,” said Tatic.
Tatic also claimed that a few quarry workers there had also found a similar rock while carrying out their excavation work.
Last week, about 1,500 people were injured after a meteorite exploded in mid air at the Ural Mountains of Russia, causing its debris to scatter all over the place and crashing into windows.
