U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said on Wednesday (August 26) the Trump administration does not have an open channel of communication to the Canadian government for now, after trade talks between the two countries broke down last week.

In an interview on CBC, Greer said he has a good relationship with Canadian Minister Dominic LeBlanc, who is leading U.S. trade relations, but "right now I think the Canadian side is talking about their next steps."
