Perak PAS Youth has urged the people to pray for the safety of Muslims and Palestinians who are currently being attacked by the Israel Defense Force (IDF) since last week.
“We strongly urge all Mosques and Suraus under the jurisdiction of the Perak Islamic Religion and Malay Custom Council (MAIPk) conducts special prayers for the people of Palestine with the recital of the ‘Qunut Nazilah’ for the atrocities at the hands of the Israelis,” it said in a statement.
Qunut Nazilah is offered at times of calamity.
PAS has also urged special ‘Solat Hajat’ prayers for the people of Palestine during Friday prayers tomorrow.
“The people of Perak should voice their objection to the ‘licensed’ slaughter at the hands of the Israeli regime during the time Muslims are observing the holy month of Ramadan,” the statement said.
Latest figures put the total number of dead to 64 on Thursday, with 29 Palestinians killed on Wednesday and 21 on Tuesday.
