Photographer's rotting body found at home
Police removing the decomposing body from the house
The mystery of a foul smell haunting several residents of Section 17 here was finally unearthed when police discovered a decomposing body of a man in one of the houses in the area last night.
Police bust open the single-storey terrace house after receiving a call from the deceased’s neighbour around 8pm. The neighbour claimed the foul smell had been lingering for the last two days.
Police found the fully-clothed body, lying face downward in the middle of the living room.
The deceased, identified as “Danny”, 52, was apparently a freelance photographer and said to be living alone.
Initial investigation by police showed no signs of injury. Based on the rotting body, the deceased had been dead for more than three days.
The body has been sent to University Malaya Medical Centre for post-mortem.
