Shaping global youth through the values of coexistence

Project Specialist at the Higher Commitee of Human Fraternity (HCHF), Noor Mousa emphasised that attaining human fraternity must begin with instilling values in the next generation.

“We believe that human fraternity begins with the values that we instill in the next generation.

“That's why we have a focus on youth. So through our school programs and through the virtual institute that we launched, we hope to bring students together,” she said.

She added that HCHF look forward to create more research programs, more awareness, and a global hub for human fraternity.

She spoke to AWANI International after the official adoption of Jakarta Declaration on Human Fraternity during The International Conference on Human Fraternity held in the Indonesian capital, recently.

Meanwhile, Research Specialist at HCHF, Amna Al Qubaisi said the conference placed young people at the center of its vision celebrating their roles as a creator, builders and leaders of more United World.

“One of the most impactful elements of the conference was the youth initiative,” she explained.

The International Conference on Human Fraternity opened on Tuesday (29th July) in Jakarta, bringing together global leaders, religious figures, and academics to promote peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding in an increasingly divided world.

Co-organised by the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity (HCHF) and the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII), the conference carries the timely theme: “Advancing Human Fraternity Amid Global Uncertainty: Towards a More Peaceful and Prosperous Civilization.”

The gathering aims to reinvigorate global dialogue on the shared values of compassion, respect, and human dignity across cultures and beliefs.
