South Korea, US to negotiate treaty for Seoul's nuclear-powered subs, adviser says

SEOUL: South Korea and the United States will negotiate a treaty to support Seoul's plan to build nuclear-powered submarines with U.S. help, Seoul's presidential adviser said on Wednesday.
South Korea plans to use low-enriched uranium to power the submarines and does not intend to introduce highly enriched uranium, Wi Sung-lac told a briefing.
