WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump sought to help mediate the most recent flare-up in Thailand-Cambodia tensions on Friday, holding calls with representatives from the two nations, a White House official said.
Trump's calls came after Thailand suspended a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal and demanded an apology over allegations that Cambodia laid fresh landmines, which Cambodia denies. Trump also engaged with Malaysia, the White House official said.
