WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration was working with Israel to get along with Syria whose president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, a former al Qaeda commander, held talks with the Republican leader at the White House on Monday.
"People say he's had a rough past. We've all had a rough past," Trump told reporters about the Syrian president, who until recently was on Washington's terrorist blacklist.
