TV reporter faints on air, but gets up and going again
As the rest of the world wake up to the first day of 2014, we media people too are back at work (well, for those lucky enough to have a New Year break, that is).
Looking back at 2013, there were times we laughed and cried at the mistakes we made; there were times we lamented our media freedom; but the stories we often love the most are about those who fall and get back up.
Here’s a story on sheer dedication by a TV reporter:
Brooke Graham, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based reporter for KUTV apparently fainted during a live news broadcast about cross-country skiing.
The audible "thump" in the snow showed how hard her collapse was during the first few seconds of the segment.
But here’s the best part: Laughing about the fall, Graham immediately gets back up and back to her interview.
While admitting to having a fainting spell in a blogpost, Graham was laughing about the whole thing. She wrote: "I have laughed many times watching this video, so don’t feel bad if it makes you giggle."
