Two killed as private jet crashes into a residential area

Two people were killed when a private jet crashed into a residential neighbourhood in northern Indiana in the United States.

According to a local spokeswoman, three homes were badly damaged.

The Beechcraft Premier I twin-jet carried four passengers and lost control before crashing.

Two of four people aboard the plane were killed, while the other two people aboard were injured. One person on the ground was injured as well.

Early investigations showed that the cause of the crash could be due to technical failure.

However, the real cause of the crash is still being investigated.
