Two soldiers killed, three hurt in bombing incident in Narathiwat

Two soldiers were killed while three others were seriously injured when a bomb went off while they were escorting teachers in Kampung Air Seret, Narathiwat at about 3pm (local time) today.
Narathiwat police chief Maj.Gen Pattanawut Angkanawin said the troops were escorting the teachers from the Air Kroh School in Chanet.
"A teacher was almost killed when an electric pole fell on his car as a result of the explosion," he told reproters here.
The teacher, Sirirat Tanvornmak, said he still managed to driver his car from the scene.
He said he drove about two kilometres to the Kampung Pari School to get help even though his car sustained severe damage.
