U.S. says China's military activities near Taiwan increasing tensions 'unnecessarily'

WASHINGTON: The U.S. State Department on Thursday said China's military activities near Taiwan and others in the region "increase tensions unnecessarily" and urged China to halt military pressure against Taiwan.
