Woman 'swallowed' by the ground in China

The incident was captured through a CCTV and it showed the victim and a man who is assumed to be either her boyfriend or husband, heading towards an exit in Cuizhu metro station.

The victim fell right into the hole as soon as she stepped on the floor panel.

The man who was accompanying her, desperately tries to pull her out while holding onto her hand. The footage also showed other witnesses rushing to her aid and helping the man by lifting the victim back up.

According to one of the staff at the station, the victim was found safe without any serious injuries. She was taken to a local hospital where doctors said she only suffered minor injuries such as scratches on her arms and legs.

Shenzen Metro in a statement said, it had repaired the defective floor panel. They also offered a sincere apology to the victim and also thanked the passers-by who rushed to her aid.
